"Fon Mak Kap Kaep Lam Phloen" is an Isan folk dance that features the "Mak Kap Kaep," a traditional wooden percussion instrument similar to castanets. It consists of a short, smooth wooden piece struck against a longer piece with a grooved surface to produce its unique sound. The dance elegantly incorporates this instrument into its choreography, perfectly synchronized with the fun, lively, and entertaining rhythm of "Lam Phloen," a signature Isan musical style.
