Core Information

Sak Khe

Creator:the Performing Arts Studies Program, Faculty of Education, Udon Thani Rajabhat University.

"Sak Khe" is a creative dramatic performance inspired by the traditional Isan "Baisri Su Khwan" (wrist-tying blessing) ritual. It specifically focuses on the sacred chanting of "Sak Khe" (the gathering of deities), a ceremonial step that invokes angels and deities from heaven to descend to the ceremonial ground. Their divine presence serves as witnesses to bestow blessings and prosperity upon the attendees. The choreography beautifully visualizes the convergence of two realms—the earthly human realm conducting the ritual and the celestial realm where angels and deities gracefully dance to grant their auspicious blessings.
