Core Information

Ram Muay Boran (Ancient Boxing Dance)

Creator:Nak Len Nam Youth Group

"Ram Muay Boran" was originally a traditional Isan martial art typically performed during merit-making events and festivals such as Bun Phawet. It was later adapted and developed into a performing art by Mr. Jamlong Nuanmanee, who learned the boxing techniques from Nai Hoi Simum, a Kula (Tai Yai/Shan) descendant, and subsequently developed his own distinctive style. The performance features both solo and group choreographies and has now become a signature cultural identity of Sakon Nakhon province.
