Thevorohana

"Thevorohana" is a creative dance performance depicting a significant event in Buddhist history. It illustrates "Thevorohana Day" (the 1st waning moon of the 11th lunar month, marking the end of Buddhist Lent), the day Lord Buddha descended from Tavatimsa Heaven to the human world after spending the rain retreat preaching to his mother. The performance beautifully portrays the magnificent scene where Indra magically creates divine stairways (crystal, gold, and silver) for the descent. Accompanied by Brahmas, Devas, and angels offering their worship and blessings, the graceful choreography conveys deep religious faith and the majestic grandeur of heaven.
